Our job fairs bring 200 or more newly arrived job seekers from Ukraine into one room, to meet up to 25 companies who have current job openings.

You will be able to meet company owners or recruiters who are looking for specific skills and experiences. You will chat and get to learn about their company and their work opportunities.

A Hiring Blitz is similar to a Job Fair but is hosted by just one company, usually at their location.

TaskforceNL will review our database of newly arrived job seekers from Ukraine to find and invite the best matches for that company’s openings, industry, and community.

If you are a job seeker who has recently arrived in Newfoundland and Labrador from Ukraine, you can register to take part in a TaskforceNL Job Fair or Hiring Blitz.

We will enter your skill sets, education, and experience in our database, and will also note the areas in Newfoundland and Labrador where you want to work. We will then contact you when a Job Fair or Hiring Blitz that matches your information is being planned. You can let us know if you will attend, and we will then provide additional information on the companies involved!

There is no cost for job seekers to take part in a TaskforceNL Job Fair or Hiring Blitz.

However, we encourage you to prepare a high-quality resumé or presentation to help you make a very positive impression, whether at a TaskforceNL event or as you make your own contacts with employers in Newfoundland & Labrador.

At TaskforceNL we have been building a database of newly arrived workers from Ukraine. If you are selected to be in the database, your skills sets and education will be noted, along with the communities or regions in Newfoundland and Labrador where you would like to work.

Each worker is assigned an ID number in the database, but to ensure confidentiality and privacy, your name and contact info would not be listed.

Potential employers viewing the database would give us the ID number of the candidate they are interested in, and the details of their specific job opening. We would then present all that to the selected candidates.

If the job seeker is also interested, we will provide you and the company with each other’s contact info, and will connect you both with an introductory email.
